Lesson 4
BRIDGING THE GENERATION GAP
Content:
Now a days the old generation usually feels the generation gap between them
and the younger generation. This is apparent in simple things like the manner
of dressing, socializing, more intimate relationship like friendship and
marrying, etc. still , some old things are difficult to overcome, as there are
still the caste system in India, pre-arrange marriages in China, female
circumcision in Africa, and theocratic or religion rule societies in the Middle
East. Evn in education, traditional schooling has hardly change even with the
clear evidence of a digital orld. Reflect on how some teachers confine their
teaching to the board talk-test method.
Experience:
The world today is really improving,
and sometimes it’s hard for us adopt the changes especially if you are the
product of the traditional education. Just like me I’m one of the product of
traditional education also but I tried my best to adopt all the changes now a
days because it is very important.
Reflection:
I know at first it’s hard to adopt
the changes, but if you begin to open your hearts and be open minded in
everything, you will realize that everything is amazing and interesting.
Application:
As future educators we should know
how to help older generations to overcome the changes of the world. We must
open our mind and learn new things and to help ourselves to appreciate the new generation.
